What Is Head Start?
Head Start is a comprehensive, free preschool program for income-eligible children age 3-4 living in Allegan County, Michigan. Head Start provides children with curriculum based activities that help them grow socially, physically and academically. Head Start staff members recognize that as parents, you are the first and most important teachers of your children. With your input and support, your child will leave Head Start more prepared for kindergarten, excited about learning, and socially ready to succeed!
Head Start Eligibility
Children must be age 3 or 4 by December 1.
Families must meet income eligibility guidelines
(Please be prepared to share your annual income information during the registration/application phase).
Children must have a physical exam to participate.
Children with disabilities are accepted.
Must be residents of Allegan County.
Children are accepted into the program based on individual and family needs.
